Danny Price is a native New Mexican, with a passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. He grew up in the small ranching community of Lindrith with endless opportunities to explore the region. Those early years created a love for the area and its varied wildlife and ancient Indian sites.
Danny took his first art class in 1980. His first works were primarily in oils, although he has explored most mediums throughout the years. He is currently experimenting with pinon varnish and pigments. The process gives him much cherished time in the outdoors collecting aged pinon sap and processing it to use in his art. Although pinon has been used as a varnish on retablos for decades the process Danny uses is completely unique and provides much greater depth than other mediums he uses.
His career in aerospace engineering has spanned 40 years and provided many opportunities to enjoy the natural world across the northwest as well as his beloved southwest. Several years ago Danny had the opportunity to re-establish himself at his ranch in Lindrith, New Mexico, where the natural beauty and unrestricted views have re-inspired his art.
Danny is a natural teacher, whose art classes inspire his students in the Lindrith area.
His art has been displayed in galleries in Arizona and New Mexico.
