Christina Hall-Strauss has created a special line of jewelry. Called Sheng Jewelry, her business takes its name from a classical Chinese instrument the Sheng (Phoenix), a mouth organ with bamboo pipes in the shape of a phoenix's tail. The elements of nature as seen in traditional Asian aesthetics, Christina has collected the pieces she uses in her necklaces from antique shops, bead emporiums and flea markets over the years. She hand-knots each bead, lending a graceful flow to the necklaces, and gives special attention to the balance of rhythm and color in each design.
