Annie Lindberg was born and raised in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. Imagination and making things have been a part of her everyday experience since childhood. When she was 17, she left New Mexico to spend a year overseas and travel became a way of life for the next decade. She worked her way across the American West and Mexico as a park ranger and tour guide. She returned to New Mexico in 1999 after completing her degree in Graphic Design in Arizona. Her artwork reflects her vagabond years and love of travel, using symbols from many cultures to illustrate her idea of a world language that connects cultures across space and time. She lives in northern New Mexico where she continues to paint and create.
