If a painting keeps you coming back to it along with enhancing your living space, then I consider it a success. My art education began with observing my mother painting in her studio throughout my grade school years and attending the Pinacoteque School of Art in Albuquerque. Carol Allison and Victor Cox were my instructors who in turn were students of both Howard Wexler and Ziegfried Hahn. The Art Center in Pasadena, CA, in the mid 1980's, became my college experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of student artists and great instructors. Following was UNM's Fine Art program and onto the field of graphics and freelance illustration for the past 20 plus years. Both children's book and humorous illustration fill my web pages at johroseillustration.com. Recently, Canadian author Kathy Gilberston and I collaborated on our first children's book called Adventures with Fluff.com. It is 26 fun filled pages of a cat and girl exploring all kinds of things together."
