Bruce Runyan was born and raised in New Mexico. His interest in bees began when, as a young boy, his father would tell him stories of their ancestors, the French Huguenots, who were the bee keepers to the King of France. While living on the big island of Hawaii, Bruce worked for the largest producer/exporter of queen bees in the world.
