Michele is a local author who has been living in New Mexico since 1984. Her first years in New Mexico were spent living at Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo (formerly San Juan Pueblo), assisting in a recovery of Native Seeds Project. She obtained a graduate degree in Transformational Counseling in Santa Fe at Southwestern College in 1990. From 1990-1996 Michele worked for Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council (ENIPC) developing a domestic violence program for the northern native communities called Peace Keepers, which still exists today. During that time and for years to come, Michele had interactions with many teachings from both native American and other indigenous traditions that inspired her to write a book about the times of great change we are in and the paradigm shift of 2012. She has continued to provide alternative forms of healing and support for nineteen years that have added to the knowledge she has shared in her book.
