Constance has always been fascinated by color. As a young child, when her mother put her down for a nap, she would stare at the quilt squares of pink, turquoise and yellow. Through the years she experimented with embroidery, watercolors, acrylics, oils, stained glass, tissue paper collage and weaving – all for the love of color. In the spring of 2009 she took a Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain class. Towards the end of the class, she was working with charcoal. She asked herself what would it be like to start substituting color in for the charcoal and her friends encouraged her to try pastels. She is a practicing Doctor of Oriental Medicine at Acupuncture Etc. and she paints during her free time at home.
