Print of an original painting entitled Circle of Trees. The artists' description: "Sacred geometry is a fundamental componenet of each composition. The Fibonacci Principle and the Golden Proportion are two of the central elements that occur during the creation of each piece. This is the way that artists and architects have created works since the beginning. In Circle of Trees the mandala, a Sanskrit word meaning literally 'sacred circle or center' is woven in to the composition behind the priestess' head. The mandala is a meditative tool that is utilized in cultures throughout the world. From the monks of Tibet to the interlacing Celtic knotwork that was forged into metal or painted onto leather to the Navajo sand painters of the American Southwest, the mandala helps humanity to express concepts of interconnectedness, healing and transformation. In this piece, the viewer is invited into the soft and gentle land of the trees. The bird at her crown symbolizes ascension and magic, her expression is one of wisdom and mystery."
