I believe art has no map to follow; it is a process, as is anything else, and needs time and space to unfold and be expressed. I was trained as a veterinarian and practiced for 18 yrs. My entry into the “art world” came after many years of intense personal healing work. My work is a direct expression of that freedom and a product of that process. I may not have studied art; I just allow its presence. I invite you to join me in my process as the uniqueness of who I am unfolds and is expressed through and with the natural mediums that surround us. Metal seems to be the medium at this time to hold my attention. I love the contradictory properties depending on the environment, much like humans. It is very hard yet it is liquid, it is strong yet brittle, it can be a bridge and yet be crumbled by water. I prefer the rawness of the material and its process of aging over time, eventually returning to earth.
