It can be easily and naturally combined with other media to produce much more interesting works with wonderful texture, dimension and depth. While my medium is fiber, I still use painting techniques to create the pieces. 'Thread Painting' is involving rapidly layering threads of different colors, values and lengths over a fabric surface is the technique incorporated into most of my works. Her large figurative piece, "African Princess" won Best of Show in the Northern New Mexico Quilt Show.
